Mavic 4 Pro waypoint mission planner

MavicMapper plans native DJI Fly waypoint missions for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro – orthomosaic and 3D mapping, POI orbits, façade scans, cinematic video paths, panoramas and hi-res footprints. Free, offline, for Windows. Every calculation uses the Mavic 4 Pro’s own camera (4/3 CMOS, 100 MP), wind limit (12 m/s), waypoint speed (15 m/s), gimbal range and battery.

Mission types for the Mavic 4 Pro

From plan to flight

  1. Draw the area, place the POI or the wall line on the map and pick a preset.
  2. Check the 3D preview – it replays the real mission file with speed, stops, gimbal moves and photos.
  3. Export the KMZ – one mission per battery.
  4. Upload over USB to the controller (guide) or import by hand (guide).
  5. Set the camera in DJI Fly from the summary and fly within visual line of sight.

Frequently asked questions

Does the DJI Mavic 4 Pro support waypoint missions?

Yes – the Mavic 4 Pro flies native waypoint missions in DJI Fly. MavicMapper writes them as DJI WPML KMZ files and can upload them over USB to the controller.

What GSD does the Mavic 4 Pro reach for mapping?

With the Hasselblad 100 MP (100 MP) the ground resolution is about 0.60 cm/px at 60 m, 0.80 cm/px at 80 m and 1.21 cm/px at 120 m above ground.

How fast can the Mavic 4 Pro map with continuous capture?

At 80 m and 75 % front overlap the photo spacing is about 16.5 m. With a 2.5 s minimum photo interval the camera allows about 6.6 m/s; the planner also caps waypoint legs at 15 m/s and checks motion blur for your shutter.

Which camera modes can I plan with on the Mavic 4 Pro?

Planner cameras and photo modes: Hasselblad 100 MP (100 MP), Hasselblad 25 MP (25 MP), Tele (50 MP), Medium Tele (48 MP). Set the same mode in DJI Fly before the flight – a waypoint file cannot switch the lens or photo size.

Is MavicMapper free for the Mavic 4 Pro?

Yes. Free, no account, no subscription, runs 100 % locally on Windows.
